Morning pages

I just added a new ritual into my morning routine. It's called morning pages, and its been an amazing way to start the day.

Every morning, right when you wake up, write three pages of everything that comes to your mind. Think of it as a brain detox. Cleansing your brain for the day, and turning away from the things you are thinking about. If you don't really know that to write, then write " I dont know what to write" for three pages. Once you start open up to yourself, things will flow more naturally. It will become a habit.

It is very important to do this everyday. I know there are days where you just dread the though of writing early in the morning. But those really are the days you NEED TO DO IT.

Write about yesterday, your to do list for the day, your fears, hopes and dreams. Let your mind flow and really cleanse yourself one day at a time.

I have only done this for a week, but I have already seen and felt a huge change in my life. I am not thinking so much about yesterday or worrying about things that is in the future. When I leave my desk I feel ready to take on the day.

If you are wondering how long it takes. For me it's around 15- 30 minutes. I do not go on social media before I do this, only to not get distracted. I don't listen to music or anything. I just write.

Wake up 30 min before you need to, and see how it makes you feel after the first week! Make yourself a cup of tea, and write. It may not be the best experience the first time, but keep doing it until its a habit.

Please let us know how it goes!
